I have been busying myself getting ready to do some large paintings in pastel and oil. I went to Santa Monica beach and took a few reference photos. Then I try to capture the big picture! This pastel is a study for the large pastel I am making for my daughter. I will probably do a few more studies before I settle on the finished composition.
