About the Artist

My paintings reflect what is deeply important to me and seek to capture the emotional connection I perceive in the world. I love to work in watercolor, pastel, cloisonné, and mixed media.

I am inspired by my travels and nature. From enjoying a peaceful cup of coffee on a Sunday morning while overlooking the central valley of California, to witnessing a penguin standing on a bleached rock in the Galapagos, my aim is to convey these experiences in my art and raise awareness about the beauty and fragility of our environments.

I live in Los Angeles and have a BFA from UCLA and a degree in Textile and Fashion Design from Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles. I spent 16 years as a woman’s clothing and fabric designer for well-known fashion manufacturers. Working at the John Anson Ford Theatre and the Mark Taper Forum contributed to my experience in costuming. After leaving my full-time career to raise a family, I have returned to my love of creating art.

I have studied with Gerald Brommer, Frank Eber, Deborah Swan-McDonald, Pong Apinyavat and Joseph Stoddard.
